ELECTION DAY 9:30 PM EST - FINAL RESULTS
Finals just came in. I'm not going to be going to the Rockingham County Board of Education. But, I did get 4,584 votes. Definitely not last place though. I think this puts me about 7th or 8th out of 16... which is sort of what I'd predicted a few days ago.

Wow... in a tough competition with lots of candidates, and this being your first run for office... that's pretty amazing, if you ask me! Definitely encouragement to go for it again someday, should you feel so led :-)
Anyways, even though I'm not congratulating you on a new position, I'm very much congratulating you on running a superb campaign. At the youth ministry I worked for, we used to say that we only saw the very beginnings of what God might have used us to do. You drew attention to important ideas in your race; God only knows what good things will grow from that.
